By creating an account or using MyEstateAlly (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service. These terms form a binding agreement between you and MyEstateAlly (operated by Alicia Baker-Sample, "we," "us").
MyEstateAlly is a web-based tool to help individuals and families organize estate inventories, store documents, share information with family members, and get AI-assisted item descriptions and estimated values. It is not a legal service, appraisal service, or financial advisor.
You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in a way that does not infringe the rights of others. You must not:
You own the content you upload to MyEstateAlly โ photos, documents, item descriptions, and everything else. By uploading content, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and display it solely to provide the Service to you. We do not claim ownership of your content and will not use it for any other purpose.
You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to upload and share any content you add to the Service, including photos and documents belonging to an estate.
MyEstateAlly uses AI (OpenAI and Google Gemini) to suggest item names, descriptions, and estimated values from photos. These suggestions are estimates only and should not be relied upon as professional appraisals, legal determinations of value, or financial advice. Always consult a certified appraiser for items of significant value.
We are not responsible for decisions made based on AI-generated content.
When you invite others to view your estate, you are responsible for managing their access appropriately. You control what they can see and do. Remove access promptly if circumstances change. Invited members must also comply with these Terms.
Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect and use your data. By using the Service, you agree to the Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms.
We aim to keep MyEstateAlly available and running smoothly, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may perform maintenance, apply updates, or experience outages. We are not liable for any loss resulting from service unavailability.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, MyEstateAlly and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of revenue, or decisions made based on AI-generated estimates.
Our total liability to you for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months prior to the claim (which, for free accounts, is $0).
You may stop using the Service and request deletion of your account at any time by contacting support@myestateally.com.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, with or without prior notice. In the event of termination, you may request an export of your data within 30 days.
We may update these Terms periodically. If we make material changes, we will notify registered users by email at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of the Service after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes will be resolved through good-faith negotiation first. If that fails, disputes will be submitted to binding arbitration under AAA rules, individually (no class actions).
